As the Director of The Tamara D. Grigsby Office for Equity and Inclusion in Dane County, Wisconsin, I’ve dedicated over two decades to advancing equity in employment, contracting, and service delivery.
I’ve received national recognition by the National Association of County Organizations for my leadership in Dane County. I’ve held notable positions in several organizations: Chairman of the Board for SSM Health Wisconsin Region and Chair on the Board of Visitors for the UW-Madison School of Sociology.
I’ve served as President of both the Madison Rotary Club and the Madison Rotary Foundation, and I’m actively involved in the United Way Law Enforcement Leaders of Color Collaboration.
I contributed a decade of service to the City of Madison Police and Fire Commission, including two terms as President.
I am currently a member of the Madison Metropolitan School District Superintendent’s Human Resource Advisory Committee. I hold a BA in Sociology and a Master of Public Affairs degree, both from UW-Madison, with the latter from the Robert M. La Follette School of Public Affairs.
I am married to author and business owner Catrina Sparkman, and we have four children.
